The Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) has launched Take Time To Think. The campaign encourages gamblers from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to use gambling tools for a safe, responsible betting and gaming experience. It follows on from the long-established ‘When the Fun Stops Stop’ campaign and was developed by BGC. Mobile Free Spins is supporting safer gambling practices alongside our casino partners with the Four T’s campaign: Take Time To Think which was released in October 2021.

BGCs new campaign launched with a series of TV adverts showing customers pausing mid-play before considering whether to use safer gambling tools - a selection of which can be found below.

BGC changes ‘When The Fun Stops’ with new ‘Take Time To Think’ campaign

The Betting and Gaming Council has worked with online operators to deliver the multi-million pound campaign, which has been funded by BGC members including William Hill, Entain, bet365, Gamesys, Flutter, Betvictor, Betway, Kindred, Playtech, Betfred, PlayOjo, Betsson and Microgaming.

Operators will also adopt the ‘Take Time To Think’ (TTTT) messaging across online and offline operations so the high street and virtual gambling worlds will be in harmony with each other.

What about When The Fun Stops, Stop?

While ‘When The Fun Stops, Stop’ was key in helping to address problem gambling, the Betting and Gaming Council thinks ‘Take Time To Think’ will be better at encouraging UK players to pause and consider the safer gambling tools operators provide – deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion - to help Brits moderate their play and stay in control.

What is Take Time To Think about?

The latest BGC campaign is aimed at encouraging customers to use the wide range of safer gambling tools offered by its members. West Ham is one of the many football clubs that have shown support for the new gambling campaign from BGC. Our views align with BGC because MobileFreeSpins is committed to providing an enjoyable gaming experience whilst promoting and supporting safer gambling in the UK and further afield in any way, shape or form possible.

I am absolutely delighted that our members have signed up to this fantastic campaign.

Millions of people enjoy a flutter and the overwhelming majority do so perfectly safely and responsibly. But that doesn’t prevent the regulated industry from continuing to do more to promote ever higher standards in safer gambling.

Our research has shown that the ‘Take Time To Think’ message will encourage even more customers to pause and consider whether to make use of the wide range of safer gambling tools that are available. That will enable them to stay in control of their betting.

The efforts BGC members are making to promote safer gambling are in stark contrast to the all too easily available unsafe, unregulated black market online. - Michael Dugher, CEO of the BGC.
